Praying for the Midterms
God has answered our prayers since 2024, and He is not finished. Let us keep standing in the gap as the nation heads toward November.
We have witnessed rapid changes addressing many of the issues afflicting the soul of this nation.
Answered prayer, in plain sight
The 2024 election was an extraordinary moment. In the months since, many of us have watched prayers we carried for years begin to be answered in ways we had almost stopped expecting.
Political prisoners have been set free. Institutions that did real harm have been defunded. Our borders are being protected, dangerous criminals are being arrested, and religious freedom is being renewed. The President and his administration are even praying openly.
We do not see these as talking points. We see them as evidence of God's faithfulness to those who intercede, and a reason to give thanks with open hands.
Because God has been faithful, we must not stop now. Here is where we keep praying.
Keep praying that the primaries and the November elections raise up godly leaders.
What God has begun in this nation must be fully realized, never halted and never reversed.
Nine intentions to pray through.
Take them one at a time, or pray through all nine in a sitting. Come back to this list as often as the Lord leads.
1
Pray
that God's purposes for this nation would be fully fulfilled in every arena of public life.
2
Pray
that every scheme of the enemy against this nation would be exposed and destroyed.
3
Pray
for swift and impartial justice wherever corruption has taken root.
4
Pray
for fair and honest elections, where every lawful vote is protected and counted accurately.
5
Pray
that candidates on every ballot would encounter Christ and be changed by Him.
6
Pray
for God's protection and favor over God-fearing leaders and candidates as they serve and run.
7
Pray
that believers would do their due diligence, measuring every candidate against the Word of God.
8
Pray
that believers would show up and vote in greater numbers than ever before.
9
Pray
that citizens would discern the truth amid the noise of media and punditry.
Prayer still moves mountains, and God is not finished with this nation.
Every prayer you offer is a seed sown in faith, and every vote cast in wisdom is obedience lived out. Your part is not small. Keep praying, keep showing up, and trust the One who has been faithful from the start.
